A Letter To The President
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Malacañang Palace
J.P. Laurel St., San Miguel
Manila, Philippines
Dear President Marcos,
Firstly, I would like to express my concerns about our economy. The rising cost of goods and the increasing difficulties many families face in making ends meet are becoming ever more evident. Inflation has made everyday necessities, like food and transportation, harder to afford. As a student, I see the effects of this in the lives of my classmates, as much as myself, struggle to balance school with family responsibilities due to financial pressures. Education is meant to be our path to a better future, but the economic challenges we face make this road much more difficult to navigate. I humbly ask that the government continue to prioritize measures that will stabilize our economy and provide relief to those in need, especially for students like myself who dream of a better tomorrow.
In addition, the situation in the West Philippine Sea has caused unease for many of us. As young Filipinos, we are concerned about our nation's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The ongoing tensions in the region not only raise questions about our national security but also our country's role in standing up for its rights. I believe in the importance of maintaining diplomatic ties and seeking peaceful solutions, but I also hope that we do not waver in defending what is rightfully ours. As students, we are taught to uphold truth and fairness, and I hope these values will guide our country’s stance on the matter.
Lastly, I would like to express my thoughts as a student. It is my generation that will inherit the outcomes of today’s decisions. We look up to our leaders for guidance and hope. We, as one should be eager to contribute to the growth and success of our nation, but we need the assurance that the foundations we will be building upon are strong and stable. Please continue to invest in the education system and in policies that ensure a prosperous and peaceful future for the Philippines.
Thank you for your time and dedication to our country. I trust that you, our President will consider the concerns of students like me in your decision-making process.
Sincerely,
Jaurel Joseph Fieldad
Student of ISNHS
