A Big Leap

It feels like just yesterday I was an eight grader, navigating the chaos of finally being back in face-to-face classes after COVID-19. Now, I’m one of the “big kids” with just another year left before I step into the uncharted waters of Senior high school.

Me at the Hospital (5 y.o)
Let me take you back a little. I’ve always been that kind of kid who’s a little bit of everything: a constant slacker (somehow managing to scrape by on last-minute work), academically unbalanced (who would understand complex math formulas yet fails on a basic grammar), and an observer (often preferring to watch from the sidelines rather than dive into the spotlight). Whether I'm daydreaming halfway the class or goofing around with my friends in the quadrangle, I always caught up by the moment, figuring what I should do next.

Welcome to my blog! my name is Jaurel Joseph Fieldad. Born on the 18th of September 2008, As the youngest sibling in my family, I’ve always had a unique perspective on life. Growing up with older siblings meant I had role models to look up to, but it also came with its own set of challenges. I was often the one learning from their mistakes, watching them go through experiences before it was my turn. While this gave me a head start in some ways, it also meant I had to work hard to step out of their shadows and carve out my own identity.

I tend to be a bit timid, but my passions help me express myself. I enjoy playing online games, where I can immerse myself in different worlds and connect with others. Drawing allows
me to unleash my creativity, and playing musical instruments gives me a way to share my feelings through sound. Join me on this journey as I share my thoughts, experiences, and interests!

This year’s an unpredicted whirlwind. Classes are feeling tougher, expectations are getting higher, and the idea of “growing up” seems to be everywhere. But through it all, I’m figuring out who I am. I’m learning that it’s okay to stand up, to try new things, and even to fail sometimes. It’s all part of the adventure.

I’ve made some unforgettable memories in junior high like late-night study sessions that turned into video game marathons, intensive training for the upcoming school press conferences, and friendships that feel like they’ll last a lifetime. There’ve been challenges, too—like balancing homework and hobbies, extracurriculars that took too much time, and trying to keep up with a social life. But that’s all part of the story, right?

So here I am, standing on the edge of something big, ready to take the leap. junior high taught me a lot. Although I am unsure what strand I will pursue, senior high school will soon come by, but I’m ready to answer for what comes by.
